Expanding the boundless imagination and skills of an illustrator

Illustration MFA
Interested in seeing the breadth of fine art courses my Illustration MFA includes? See the complete list here to get a sense of what I’ve been studying and working towards for the past three years!

Academic Life
When time permits, I sometimes blog about my Illustration MFA experiences. You can read about my assignments and class adventures here.

My degree concentration is in children’s book illustration. which is a joyous and refreshing departure from decades of corporate-centered, brand design work.

Thesis Work
My thesis proposal was recently approved (mid-January 2021) and so now, the real-REAL work begins as I push forward to get to the thesis finish line.

Spring 2021
As I’m nearing the end of my MFA, my Spring 2021 term courses are directed study courses in preparation for my thesis work and as assigned by the school’s Illustration department.

A Lifelong Dream
For me, the decision to attend art school was more than 30 years in the making. And since it’s never too late to pursue a lifelong dream, I decided it was just high time to jump in and get started. Here’s why.
